From a hunch to a plan
Sometimes Digisalix’s contribution is to do the groundwork: define the problem, find out what is already out there, and identify which pieces can be reused rather than reinventing the wheel.
A short research and prototyping project typically gives you:
- A well-thought-out problem definition A clear understanding of what we are actually trying to solve.
- An overview of relevant research in the application domain What is already known, what has been tried, and what might be useful.
- An overview of relevant algorithms, machine learning methods, and other technical approaches In other words, the topics closer to Digisalix’s home turf.
- A synthesis and practical recommendation We bring the findings together and propose a sensible way forward.
- A quick prototype of the core functionality Enough to test the important assumptions and demonstrate technical feasibility.
- A project plan for the first useful version A concrete plan for turning the findings and prototype into working software.
When the scope can be defined with sufficient accuracy, Digisalix can offer these projects for a fixed fee of €20,000–€50,000. A typical project takes 3–8 weeks.
